My Griffin by Laura E. Richards - Funny poem for children

I keep my Griffin in the barn;
I keep him busy winding yarn.
I don't let many people see him,
And it would not be wise to free him,
For when he opes his jaws so wide,
People might try to look inside,
And then- the things that they would see
Are known to none save only me.
